Storytelling Course

There is a storyteller within each and every one of us. This course explores techniques for learning and performing stories to small and large audiences.

Whether large crowds or intimate gatherings, we can help you develop your own personal style of storytelling.

This course will develop confidence in communicating directly with others, and will encourage you to enjoy the process of creating or learning a story, whilst discovering the fun in connecting and sharing tales with each other.

This is a practical course of performance techniques in speaking, communication and imagination!

Skills Development

Learning tools for storytelling such as:

  • Developing performance skills and narrative structure
  • How to bring storytelling into personal, occupational, and performance contexts.
  • Gaining the confidence and basic skills to engage an audience and communicate a narrative to them.
  • Warm up games and exercises
  • Accessing spontaneity and instinct
  • Listening and responding
  • Use of sound and movement
  • Using the performance space
  • Confidence and clarity
  • Exploring the use of the voice and body
  • Finding the playfulness and fun in performing
Something To Think About

Wearing comfortable clothes and bringing a bottle of water is recommended for obvious reasons! Scripts will be provided.

Cancellations made within 7 days of booking and before your course starts: full refund
Cancellations made after 7 days of booking but more than 14 days before your course starts: full refund less a 20% administration fee.
Cancellations made after 7 days of booking but less than 14 days before your course starts: no refund.
