Rejane Garcia
Rejane is a dance artist working extensively in Ballet and Contemporary dance. She graduated in classical ballet at the renowned Escola de Danca Maria Olenewa and London Studio Centre where she was awarded a scholarship.
Since then, she has worked in the U.K, Brazil, Greece and Cuba with many choreographers such as Wayne Sleep, Laura Alonso, Cathy Martson, Mark Baldwin, Everaldo Pereira, Dora Frankel, among others.
Her classical repertoire includes The Nutcracker, Paquita, Don Quixote, Diana and Acteon to name a few and also recently won a special Award from Tower Hamlet Council for her educational work through dance. She was nominated as a committee member of Surrey Dance Collective.
Rejane's Classes
Rejane's Ballet class is based on a full understanding of body awareness and alignment. She brings elements of freedom, strength, posture, co-ordination and artistic impression to her classes.
Rejane's Contemporary teaching involves a strong emphasis on body awareness. It is a dynamic class using the space, use of breath and connecting with the floor. Her classes are challenging.
