Acting - Film Shoot

Acting - Film Shoot offers you the opportunity to apply the skills learnt in Screen Acting Beginners and Improvers and be involved in a real 'film shoot'.

Over five evenings and culminating in an all day Sunday Film Shoot, you will be cast, rehearsed and filmed.

Over the course of 5 weekly evening weekday sessions a script is selected and students explore and develop techniques to create characters, emotions, a truthful performance and gain skills required to participate in a film shoot. On the all day shoot students will be working with a full student crew, a top of the range camera and will be directed to achieve their best performance.

Each student will receive an edited DVD of the dramatic scene.

To ensure beneficial learning this course is restricted to 8 students

Increasing your understanding of the technical demands of acting for camera
Creating believable characters from a casting breakdown
Tailoring your acting for different shot sizes
Experiencing the demands of a film set
Working with green screen technology

Please note - this course will run over five evenings (once a week, 6.30pm - 8.30pm) followed by one full day shoot (10am - 6pm) on the Sunday following the last evening class.
