Stand Up Comedy (Beginners)
|
Course Description
Stand-up is an art form which seeks to provoke the primitive and instinctive laugher response. Performers typically act as their own writers, editors, directors, promoters and producers so the range of skills developed is extensive.
This course offers a thorough and practical introduction to the variety of skills required for stand up comedy, in a fun and supportive atmosphere. The course will guide you through the process of becoming a stand-up comedian, from writing your first piece of material to stepping into the lights and picking up the microphone.
This course is ideal for those wishing to try stand-up for the first time, those who have some experience of the circuit but wish to advance and formalise their skills as well as anyone seeking a confidence boost when it comes to public speaking.
