Advanced Salsa Class

By now the essence of Salsa is in your soul and you are ready to explore the techniques used in Salsa to the full. 

Our Advanced Salsa course requires significant experience. Ideally, you have will have attended at least one Intermediate Salsa Class at City Academy or a 1-year course at another school. As you can see it's not for beginners, but you're not expected to be perfect either so don't worry.

Salsa Dance Skills Development

Ready to really stretch your salsa self? Let's get going.

Exact content may differ depending on the students' needs and course duration, but topics generally covered include:

• Acquiring creativity and confidence in Salsa

• Developing your own Salsa combinations

• Learning complicated patterns, increasing the number of moves and extending the amount of time before a pattern is repeated

• Adapting to different partners with different styles

• Warm up / Footwork / Partner work / Combinations

• Review of the moves from the Intermediate Salsa Course

• Double turns couple combinations

• Partner work with focus on Timing, Musicality, Technique, Styling,

• Free-styling

• Enriching ladies' and men's style separately

• Nights out dancing in Salsa clubs

Something to Think About

Footwear. You know what you need to do.

Ladies
Court shoes with a small strong heel - NO stilettos, sandals, platforms or trainers.

Men
Leather-soled shoes with a slight heel - NO trainers.

You don't have to bring a partner to join the course, we supply them!

Advanced Salsa Course Progression

City Academy recommends you to take this course 3 times, you'll never stop developing.

We offer a 10% discount if you book 2 or more different courses at the same time.
