Beginners Stand Up Comedy Course

We all love a good laugh, don't we?

That's why Mother Nature invented stand up comedy. What better way to keep human kind happy than with a host of super star stand ups? From Billy Connelly to Bill Hicks and Victoria Wood to Lucy Porter, we all have a favourite.

Our Stand Up Comedy course will teach you the basic skills needed to command a room full of people and make them laugh! Pure gold dust for comedy newcomers.

Stand Up Comedy Skills Development

This course is delivered in a fun and supportive atmosphere, with lots of humour and laughs...obviously.

Exact course content may differ according to the course length and your needs but topics covered include:

General introduction to the industry
Learn to speak directly to an audience, and make them laugh!
Experience the complete process of becoming a stand-up comedian, from writing your first piece of material to stepping into the lights and picking up the microphone
Develop practical techniques for generating and honing original material
Use improvisation skills to engage an audience and deal with hecklers
Rehearsal; short performance
You will receive friendly feedback throughout the course

Something to think about

Expect to take a few risks and take a few plunges. Remember that not everyone finds the same things funny, so don't take offence at anyone's material!

Cancellations Policy
Cancellations made within 7 days of booking and before your course starts: full refund
Cancellations made after 7 days of booking but more than 14 days before your course starts: full refund less a 20% administration fee.
Cancellations made after 7 days of booking but less than 14 days before your course starts: no refund.
