Musical Theatre Classes: Beginners
This is suitable for those starting from the very beginning or for those with minimal previous experience. Students will be introduced to the basic art of Musical Theatre (singing, dancing and acting simultaneously). In addition, students will learn warm-ups and exercises to improve basic technique. The focus will largely be on group numbers, however, there is usually opportunity for some solos.
The Musical Repertoire will be chosen from the popular musical theatre canon and work from composers including Andrew Lloyd Webber and Bloubil and Schoenberg will be explored.

Musical Theatre Classes: Improvers
This is a progression from Musical Theatre Level 1 or suitable for those with previous experience. The content of this course will continue with the techniques learnt in Level 1 and develop them further. Music will be chosen from a broader range of shows and material will be more challenging. There may also be opportunity for some solo work. Because the material changes every course, it is advisable that students take this course several times before moving on to Level 3.

Musical Theatre Classes: Intermediate
This is a progression from Musical Theatre Level 2 or suitable for more experienced performers. The material will be significantly more difficult than previous levels, and aspects such as reading music will be introduced. The course will be challenging choreographically, vocally and musically.

Musical Theatre Company
If you want to sing and dance with your friends and improve singing, dancing and acting skills at the same time, this course is perfect for you! This is not so much a course per se but an ongoing group for you to join. Members pay a yearly subscription and this entitles them to all the rehearsals, performances and social events.
Weekly rehearsals on a Monday evening and regular performances throughout the season, make the City Academy Musical Theatre Company one of the most exciting up-and-coming contemporary groups in London to join.

Musical Theatre Dance
This course is suitable for people of mixed abilities and allows students to focus on one aspect of Musical Theatre in depth. If you want to study Musical Theatre and prefer dance, or feel that your dance needs more work, then this course is for you. Students often progress onto the core Musical Theatre courses, entering at Level 1 or Level 2.

Musical Theatre Singing
This course is suitable for people of mixed abilities and allows students to focus on one aspect of Musical Theatre in depth. If you want to study Musical Theatre and prefer singing, or feel that your singing needs more work, then this course is for you.
