Stage Combat - Unarmed and Found Weapons Workshop
Don't you just love it in action movies where the hero picks up random objects to fight with to use against the bad guys? Well this could be the workshop for you!
Stage combat is a great skill to learn for anyone interested in acting or even dance, as it is widely used in numerous theatre plays and incorporated in dance videos and musical theatre shows.
No previous stage combat experience is neccessary in this workshop, as our teachers will show you some of the fundamental safety principles and practical techniques involved in creating staged violence.
During the workshop, you will explore unarmed combat as well as found weapon techniques under the watchful eye of a certified stage combat teacher, who is also a working industry professional.
Stage Combat Skills Development
- Learn unarmed and found weapon techniques
- Gain an understanding of the safety requirements for performing stage fights.
- Improve co-ordination and learning choreography
- Learning to work as a safe and effective fight partner
Something to think about
Wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water.
Bring a prop to be used as a found weapon. Any object from your daily life that is not sharp.
