Tap dance is a truly American art form focusing on its dynamic rhythm and sound. Students will learn the difference between the styles of Rhythm tap and Broadway Tap and will learn the articulation of legs, ankles and feel and usage of the upper body. Step Dance - a current and popular dance form - will also be used to teach the basics of rhythm and coordination.

Tap Dance Teacher: Melanie Kay
Melanie has been dancing since the age of two, with her first major role as 'Jo' in Little Women with the National Youth Ballet at age 15. She finished her training with the London Studio Centre at 19. She went on to work in the commercial field dancing for Robbie Williams and Martine McCutcheon. She has toured the world through America, Europe, South America and India appearing in many different shows from Spirit of the Dance, Paris Can Can, Christmas with the Osmonds, Le Grande Ballet du Music Hall, Paris Mon Amore, Panos Kiamos tour and Indian Baboo. She is also a choreographer working with dancers for the Moulin Rouge Christmas Show and Melbry Events Fashion shows.
