Artistic Policy:

We ensure that company members have an equal opportunity to perform, and therefore generally rehearse and perform scenes rather than complete plays. The Studio Productions consist of a group of pieces which come together to form an engaging show with all of the actors fully participating.

Company Director

The City Academy Saturday Theatre Company is led by award-winning actor and director Simon Wegrzyn

Simon’s performance credits span BBC drama and productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Simon loves teaching and watching his students make a breakthrough – seeing a performance transform into something that feels real and believable. His focus is on bringing a group together and creating an environment that is safe and daring.

City Academy Saturday Theatre Company tutors

All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
