Summer School Schedule

Each morning you’ll warm up with drama games and exercises to get your mind and body ready for the day ahead.

DAY ONE: WHAT’S THE STORY?

Get ready to hit the ground running with an improvisation workshop to begin the week’s journey into creating characters and scenes. You’ll go on to learn the basics of storytelling, before taking your skills to the screen in a film/TV acting workshop. You’ll finish with your first session working with a real script.

DAY TWO: ACTION!

It’s a musical start to the morning with an acting through song workshop before the gloves come off (not really!) in stage combat. After the morning’s exercise, you’ll continue screen acting with video playback and friendly tips. The day will finish by building on your script work.

 DAY THREE: FIND YOUR VOICE

Once you’re all warmed up from another creative improv session you’ll put your vocal cords through their paces in a special voice workshop, getting better control and range in your speech. Things will then get more physical in a session on movement before it’s back to...you guessed it...scripts, as you get ready for your final piece on Friday.

DAY FOUR: CAULDRON BUBBLE

You’ll start the day with another voice session before a workshop on acting in Shakespeare. Fast-forwarding back to the 21st century, you’ll continue your screen acting training, and then enjoy your final script session ahead of tomorrow’s final showcase.

DAY FIVE: IT’S SHOWTIME

You’ll wrap up your training in acting through song, movement, and acting for film and television, but it’s all building up to the main event! You’ll finish your course with a chance to put everything you’ve learned into practice in a final showcase to be proud of.
