On our Filmmaking Summer School, you will use state of the art filmmaking and post-production equipment to write, direct and edit your own short film. All based in a Central London studio.
Under the guidance of industry professionals, you will spend time exploring elements of visual storytelling and learn the fundamentals of the entire filmmaking process from storyboarding to editing.
Looking at industry examples from indie to blockbuster films, you will get a thorough understanding of different genres and how they will influence your own film. You don’t need any prior experience to join our Summer School programme as you will be starting from scratch in each area of the filmmaking process.

Membership to the Company will cover you for all classes, rehearsals and all shows from your joining date. The Company rehearses throughout the year, with the following breaks: Easter (one week break), Summer (3-week break) and Christmas.
To make membership fees more manageable, these breaks are accounted for within your monthly instalments across the year. This means there are no breaks in your monthly payments.

We cannot offer any refund if you cancel less than 72 hours before your first Company rehearsal.

All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
