Ovalhouse

Ovalhouse is a lively theatre on the Kennington Oval, opposite the famous cricket ground.

Built in the 1930's, it quickly become regarded as one of the most important centres for pioneer fringe theatre groups, as well as an early supporter of experimental LGBTQ+ theatre. The space is still used as a vibrant theatre that commissions new work in response to today’s social and political issues, and reflecting the cultural diversity of the local community. 

We use their studio spaces for our classes, as they are bright and spacious. After your class, you can chill out at their cafe-bar and pop-up garden, which are used as venues for live-music and spoken word events. They also make a great cup of coffee!
