The Royal Festival Hall is part of the Southbank Centre and is one of the world’s leading performance venues.
Opened in 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain, the Grade I listed Hall is a 2,500 seat auditorium used as a concert, dance and lecture venue - famously home to the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
City Academy use the venue as a meeting point for several of our photography and drawing classes, and it is easy to understand why: surrounded by such diverse and iconic landmarks as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye and The National Theatre- all inspiring subjects to get things started.
Located on the south bank of the Thames, The Royal Festival Hall is fantastically located only a two minute walk from Waterloo station.
