Our five day West End Experience Summer School offers you the chance to fully immerse yourself in the West End Experience.
Perfect if you are looking to explore lots of different musicals, our West End Experience is a unique and exciting way to discover the magic of Musical Theatre.
As part of our summer schools programme you will spend five days working on material from a variety of musicals, combining the holy trinity of Musical Theatre: singing, acting and dance.
Alongside this, you will go on a backstage tour and explore what happens behind the scenes of a show. You will also experience the professionals in action when you see a matinee of a hit West End show.
West End Summer School schedule
On our musical theatre summer courses, you will experience:
DAY ONE
Start the day with physical and vocal warm ups. Sing a prepared solo from a suggested list (sent to all students prior to the course start date). The tutor will assess the level of each student and cast performances following these mini auditions. Take part in a solo sining masterclass.
DAY TWO
Spend the day immersed in the London theatre scene by going on a backstage tour of a famous theatre. Spend the afternoon watching a popular West End show!
DAY THREE
Back in the studio for physical and vocal warm ups. Start putting together the group numbers for the end-of-week showcase.
DAY FOUR
Final day of rehearsals includes warm ups, completing and putting finishing touches to all the group numbers. Work on staging scenes, solos and duets for the performance.
DAY FIVE
In the morning, perform the showcase run through and work on any notes. Dress rehearsal after lunch break followed by a final performance in front of a supportive crowd of invited friends and family.

All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
PERFORM ON STAGE
Rehearse and perform a famous Musical on stage at a theatre in central London. Previous shows include: Legally Blonde, West Side Story, Sweeney Todd and more.
All of our tutors have experience performing on the West End and their friendly and supportive teaching will breakdown the steps into bitesize chunks.
