Songs for New World – Audition
Audition to join the Musical Theatre Concert Company and the chance to perform Stephen Sondheim songs to a live audience.
You will be given a time slot and within that time you will sing your audition song for our creative team. Auditions will not be performed in front of the other auditionees. Your harmony ability and musicality will be tested in your audition and you may be asked to wait until the end of your slot in order to sing in harmony with other auditionees.
You will need to prepare one contemporary Musical Theatre song of your choice for the audition, and one Stephen Sondheim song. Songs should demonstrate vocal range and acting ability, be it comic or serious in tone, as suits your strengths. Please bring your own printed taped or filed sheet music for our pianist.
Auditionees are welcome to submit a video audition piece. These must be submitted to rebecca@city-academy.com and the deadline for submission is Friday 27 February. Video submissions must still pay the £5.00 fee via the timetable below.

No Venue
All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
