Les Miserables will be your opportunity to work on vocal harmony, blending as an ensemble, look at how you use text in song to really highlight what you would like to say. This Les Miserables meledy is fully staged you will learn stage craft and how to take direction through a specialist workshop on Acting Through Song and staging.
All That Jazz from award-winning show, Chicago, will be you song and dance number to explore the colour in language and marrying up the lyrics with the movements. A real chance to act your socks off through song and dance.
Wicked is your chance to work on character. You will be encouraged by your expert tutor to be brave in your actions and to really go for it! You will perfect those punchy harmonies and delve into contemporary musicals, contrasting to the Les Miserables and All That Jazz vocal style.
What is this Feeling? from Wicked will be staged to challenge your multi-tasking skills.
You will have an option to sing one of the set songs from Les Miserables which are, I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, Empty Chairs at Empty Tables or Stars. Or if you prefer you can sing a Musical Theatre song of your own choice. You will be invited to a Dropbox when you sign up for the course and on there will be the backing tracks and learning guides for the Les Miserables songs. If you are wanting to do a song of your own choice, please bring this with you in the form of a backing track or sheet music.
