Introducing the gallery highlights from our very first 'Page To Stage' event - a unique evening of new writing and performance featuring emerging talent from City Academy's writing, comedy and acting classes. \"Our very first Page to Stage has been a phenomenal success with performers and audience alike. The event showcased students from our writing, acting and comedy departments, with a welcome and supportive audience that enjoyed a broad range of material. From spoken word to stand up comedy, sitcom to screenplay, and novel extracts read by the writers themselves. If you are interested in taking part at a future event, your writing must be of a high quality and ready to be shared with an audience. Each participant demonstrated exceptional skill with their work this time, and that's what we'll look for when programming Page to Stage.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

City Academy Writing Department<\/p>\n

<\/strong>Our Writing Department<\/a> give you the opportunity to develop new writing skills in a welcoming and friendly environment. <\/p>\n

Alongside a range of courses, from Creative Writing<\/a> to Blogging<\/a>, students in the department have access to a wealth of resources including a monthly Writing Club<\/a>, live events and performance opportunities, networking and one-to-one support from professional writers.<\/p>\n

The department is headed up by playwright Jon Barton<\/a>, whose professional credits include some of London's top theatres include The Old Vic, the Almeida and the Bush Theatre.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

City Academy Acting and Comedy Department<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a leading Acting and Drama School in London, City Academy's Acting Department<\/a> offers students the opportunity to study acting at a variety of levels, enjoy a challenge and gain new skills. Our range of acting courses are evening, weekend, weekday or part-time courses from beginners to advanced levels.<\/p>\n

Opportunities for our adult students include: Screen Acting Courses<\/a>, Voice Training<\/a>, and Comedy Acting<\/a>, and specific courses and workshops such as Improvisation<\/a>, Method Acting<\/a> and Stand Up Comedy<\/a>. Regular performance opportunities are available for students at London's top venues, particularly for members of our five Theatre Companies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
