As\u00a0a Head of Sales, I\u00a0have worked in the City for the past eight\u00a0years. About five years ago, I felt my life in London needed a change, I was looking for an inspiration and more importantly a way to connect with this city. I got invited to this live\u00a0swing, jive and lindy hop music and dance event at The 100 Club\u00a0in\u00a0central London, no idea what I was walking into.<\/p>\n

The club, the costume, the atmosphere \u2013 it was magical. I remember this gentlemen coming up to me and inviting me for a dance, I didn\u2019t have a clue how to but he was so elegant and I felt safe dancing with him. That was the moment I realised\u00a0this dance form\u00a0was my future \u2013 people are only dancing, they all share the joy of this dance, there is no second agenda.<\/p>\n

I instinctively looked on the internet and found City Academy, it seemed\u00a0the most complete and organised in terms of class schedules and level progression.\u00a0Dancing makes me happy. It\u2019s uplifting for my spirit and a boost to my confidence. Every single training class is a new adventure in discovering what I am capable\u00a0of doing.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Performing is a wonderful perk \u2013 who doesn\u2019t like the attention, the chance to show off, the photographs? There\u2019s the hair, the make up, the costume \u2013 I love this part, it\u2019s when everything\u00a0comes together. And then, those last few minutes waiting by the wings\u2026when you know in the next moment, the show is on!<\/p>\n
