Description

Core strength begins with a flexible body

Our Online Strength and Stretch Classes for Dancers will build the core strength you need to channel your power on the dance-floor.

Exercises focus on key muscles to create flexibility in the back, hips and shoulders needed to jump, turn, relevé and arabesque.

You will learn a dynamic approach to leg extensions and back bends, building up to resistance exercises that strengthen port de bras, leg lifts and turn out.

With support from a professional dancer in an inclusive virtual setting, you will develop greater range and grace, and boost your overall level of fitness.

You will need
  • A device with Camera and Microphone
  • 2 metres squared to move in
  • Comfortable Clothes
  • Yoga mat, water, and a resistance band. Add a small Pilates ball for intensity options.
  • Beginner Friendly
  • Small Group Sizes

A note on participation: Enhancing these skills requires practical and active participation. As this is an interactive, group online dance class all students will be required to have their videos turned on.
