Our Online Writing for Theatre Courses are ideal for emerging playwrights and is suitable for all levels.
On this dynamic and decisive course you will explore what it means to write theatrically, and expand your knowledge of the theatrical canon from modern classics to contemporary new writing.
With prompts and games to stimulate your imagination, we’ll show you how to create scenes, devise characters and mine your story for nuance and pathos.
As with all our online writing classes, you’ll be supported in a holistic virtual setting and gain feedback from a professional playwright.

You will need
- A device with Camera and Microphone
- A desk, table or flat surface on which to write
- Paper, notebook or journal
- A pen or pencil or separate laptop for writing
- Beginner Friendly
- Small Group Sizes
A note on participation: Enhancing these skills requires practical and active participation. As this is an interactive, group class all students will be required to have their videos turned on.
Please note that fluency in English is essential for this course.
