Emmi is a Finnish London-based singing teacher, violist and composer with broad experience in both classical and contemporary music. She has played in various orchestras in Finland and Germany and sang in different projects from solo gigs to choirs and ensembles.
She was introduced to music at the age of six when she started violin lessons in Finland. Later Emmi studied music and singing in Freiburg, Germany at the University of Arts and Applied Sciences with the specialisation in pedagogic.
In spring 2020 Emmi received a grant from The Finnish Cultural Foundation to support her studies in London. She finished her MA at the The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in 2021 with distinction and was offered a creative coaching opportunity from a film score composer Julian Marshall (ARCM, FHEA). She is currently working on her debut EP and gigging as a session vocalists and violist in London.
Emmi is a passionate vocal teacher with 6 years of teaching experience, who wants to encourage her students to self exploration and awareness of the voice. She enjoys teaching people in all levels and from all different musical backgrounds. Emmi strives to provide an encouraging and motivating learning environment for her students in each lesson.
