Born and raised in London, Florah Uddin began her film career working as a production assistant and stylist in film and music videos after graduating from university. Writing scripts in her spare time, her talent was recognised and she was given funding to make her first film aged 22.
Florah furthered her craft by working on professional film and tv sets while studying for a Masters in Filmmaking at The London Film School. She has worked on a number of shorts, music videos, documentaries and currently has a feature film in development. She is also a member of the BAFTA crew. Florah is most proud of her film Home Girl which has been shown at various film festivals.
As a highly experienced documentary filmmaking instructor, her teaching approach is practical with an emphasis on getting students comfortable with the camera and developing their own personal style. Her aim is to help her students tap into their creative potential and turn ideas into works of art.
