Business Writing

Harriet Russell is a professional journalist and writer, working for the Financial Times. Specialising in business writing, she focuses on understanding brands and companies, and the ability to find compelling angles in any news story.

Harriet started her career as a journalist whilst studying for her Bachelor’s degree at Cambridge University, working for the Cambridge Student. Developing her skills and experience within both media and finance she went on to join the prestigious Financial Times. This is also where she discovered her love for teaching, through running workshops and training sessions.

Unlocking hidden talent is Harriet’s favourite thing about teaching, and she finds it rewarding to connect with diverse audiences who are ready to explore the different avenues that writing can offer. Harriet’s teaching style is informal and includes a mix of lectures and practical exercises to develop a broad range of writing skills.
