Lavinia is an award-winning filmmaker, director, writer and producer. She is also a scriptwriter and has worked on scripts for Indie films, TV series and theatre plays. With a background in classical music, she holds a BA from the National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest and an MA in Performance art from Goldsmiths University.
Her directorial debut, ‘Memento Amare,’ the story of a Romanian construction worker separated from his family and living in Brexit-Britain, has won her a few international awards and received great critical reviews.
Lavinia’s recent Drama, ‘Acceptable Damage,’ opened to a sold-out audience and can be watched on SKY and Amazon Prime. The film won multiple awards including semifinalist at the Glasgow International Film Festival and Los Angeles CineFest, and brought Lavinia her first two nominations as Best Director at the Idyllwild Indie Film Festival in the US.
