Nic Watts

Nic Watts has experience illustrating a wide range of material from children’s books to educational publications. His artwork has been used for both fiction and nonfiction. He has illustrated for newspapers including The Guardian, and for other high profile clients such as NSPCC, War on Want, Fulham Football Club and Routledge, to name a few.

As well as commissions, Nicholas is also working on his own graphic novel. His images range from simple vibrant cartoons to highly detailed illustrations based on extensive research, based in both fantasy and reality.

Working in a range of mediums from pencil to rotring ink pens and watercolours, Nicholas believes it is the job of illustration to bring the text to life and help the reader visually engage with the message of the text. Nicholas loves developing characters and inventing quirky details.
