Rachel studied on the Joint Course at the Royal Northern College of Music and University of Manchester, gaining a performance diploma in classical voice and a Bachelors of Music.
Since graduating she has performed many notable solo roles including Melisande in the final act from Pelléas et Mélisande by Debussy (with the Asyla Orchestra, 2016), Mallika in the flower duet from Lakmé by Delibes (with the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra, 2015), Marthe in Act II of Faust by Gounod (2015) and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart (2014). She is also the founder of the professional a cappella vocal ensemble the Manchester Singers, who have performed at renowned venues including St Martin-in-the-Field’s and the National Gallery.
Elliot trained in Musical Theatre at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and has since worked as a professional actor, musical director and director.
He regularly teaches across London, and loves working with students of all ages and experience; from beginners, to established performers currently in the West End.
As a performer, Elliot has sung in many theatrical environments, from intimate chamber ensembles, to the Lyric Theatre in the West End and in London’s biggest concert halls – providing backing vocals for Elaine Paige and the BBC Concert Orchestra at her 50th anniversary Royal Albert Hall concert.
