Valinia gained a BA in Painting from the prestigious Athens School on Fine Arts, where training focussed on developing strong technical skills in figurative painting and drawing. She then moved to London to study for a MFA at the Slade School of Fine Art, where she started working more experimentally with other media including film and sculpture.

Valinia is a practising artist who has exhibited at galleries around Europe including Frankfurt am Main (Berlin), Benaki Museum (Athens), The Showroom (London) and Francoise Heitch Gallery

Valinia is also an experienced art teacher and has worked with students of all ages and abilities. She is an enthusiastic tutor who enjoys sharing her knowledge about art but also learning from her students. She likes to create a fun and supportive atmosphere in class, and believes that drawing is a skill that anyone can learn with enough practice. She encourages her students to develop their own unique style and aims to offer plenty of constructive feedback to help her students improve their technique.
