Led by professional actors in vibrant Central London studios - home to major West End productions like Hamilton and Matilda - or at a location convenient to you, students will explore improvisation, character development, and performance techniques in a supportive and engaging environment. From storytelling games to script work, this 100% practical workshop is designed to bring drama to life, encourage teamwork, and leave students energised, enriched, and creatively empowered.

All of our tutors are current working professionals who live and breath Acting every day. Our workshops are taught by actors currently working in film, television, and West End theatre - with credits in hit shows such as Game of Thrones. It’s a rare chance for students to train with industry experts and experience the real world of performance.

Useful information

Our acting workshops are suitable for Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 5 students. Each session is tailored to your group’s age, ability, and learning goals, ensuring an engaging and age-appropriate experience for all.

No experience is necessary. Workshops are designed to be inclusive, confidence-building, and accessible to all abilities — from complete beginners to drama students seeking new challenges.

Comfortable clothing that allows free movement is ideal. We recommend students bring a water bottle and plenty of enthusiasm — everything else is provided.

Workshops take place in our professional Central London studios, home to leading West End productions, or we can deliver them at your school or chosen venue.

All sessions are led by experienced, DBS-checked professional actors and tutors with extensive industry and teaching experience.

Workshops can run from 90 minutes to a full day, depending on your timetable, group size, and learning objectives. We’ll tailor the structure to suit your needs.

Yes. We can align content with Drama, English, PSHE, or Performing Arts learning outcomes, focusing on skills such as communication, characterisation, and creative thinking.

We can accommodate small classes or larger year groups, typically up to 30 students per session. Larger cohorts can be split into multiple sessions or full-day rotations.

City Academy maintains robust safeguarding policies, and all practitioners hold enhanced DBS checks. Risk assessments, insurance, and relevant documentation are available on request.
