ACCESSIBILITY AT CITY ACADEMY

At City Academy we aim to provide inclusive education for adults across the creative arts and we believe that everyone can benefit from taking part in Arts education. We have a diverse student cohort and encourage students from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities to join us. We aim to ensure that all students can enjoy our classes and will be treated with respect and care regardless of gender, race, sexuality, cultural or religious identity, experience, ability or learning needs.

We are committed to:

Continuing to develop an inclusive and fun learning environment for all.

Providing differentiated learning resources, where possible, in advance of classes and courses for students who request this.

Providing a learning support tutor or BSL interpreter, where possible, for students needing additional assistance in classes.

Matching students with courses and tutors that suit their preference, ability and learning needs.

Further research and training for our staff and tutors, to ensure the best education and provision for all our students.

Seeking feedback from staff and students in order to better provide inclusive education.

A zero-tolerance policy with regards to any form of discrimination, hate or inequality.

Whether you’re building on skills or starting something new, we have something for you. Our tutors are industry professionals and experienced education practitioners, who will give you a warm welcome, hours of fun and kind, constructive feedback.
