Actor Musicianship

Actor Musicianship

Find out how professional actor-musicians manage to mix acting, singing and dancing all while playing musical instruments in City Academy’s unique Actor-Musicianship Courses. The classes will introduce you to the art of actor-musicianship through a combination of workshops exploring solo and ensemble playing, improvisation, devising, choreography and composition.

To start, all you need to bring is your instrument(s). If you would like to prepare a piece of music or song on your instrument you may, but this is optional. Over the duration of the course, you will work together to become an ensemble musical theatre troupe, creating and rehearsing songs and stories together in a uniquely exciting ‘actor-muso’ style, performing them at a final showcase for invited friends and family.

No Venue

All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
