Our Tango Taster Class is the perfect way to experience this passionate style. In this beginner-friendly session, you’ll be introduced to the key fundamentals of Tango and take your first step into joining a friendly and passionate dance community. A taster lets you experience the pace, style, and our teaching approach. You’ll gain confidence, meet your potential tutor, and get a feel for the venue and learning environment. Do I need a partner? No partner is required, we rotate partners during the class so everyone has the chance to dance with different people. Do I need any dance experience? No prior dance experience is necessary. This class is designed for absolute beginners, and your tutor will guide you step by step. What should I wear? Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Shoes with a smooth sole or small heel are recommended but not essential. For more tips, read our guide on what to wear to a dance class . What are leaders and followers? Leaders guide the flow of the dance and give signals to their partner. Followers respond to their partner with their own movement, musicality and expression. It's not based on gender - anyone can be a leader or follower and many dancers learn both roles. Want to learn more?
