Led by inspirational female performers - our Burlesque Dance Taster Class is the perfect way to dip your toe into the world of burlesque in a relaxed, supportive environment. In just one hour, you’ll explore the basics, try out some choreography, and experience the joy of performance.

What you will learn
In your Burlesque Dance Taster Class, you will:
- Learn a few basic Burlesque steps and movements.
- Build these moves into a short choreographic piece.
- Understand correct posture and develop awareness of your body in space.
- Try burlesque performance techniques to add (even more) character and flair to your dancing.

A one-off, beginner-friendly session that introduces you to the fundamentals of burlesque dance, from basic steps to performance techniques, all in a supportive and fun atmosphere.
A taster allows you to experience the style, pace, and teaching approach before committing to a full course. You’ll gain confidence, get a feel for the movement, and see if burlesque is the right fit for you.
No previous dance experience is needed. The class is designed for complete beginners — the focus is on fun, self-expression, and building confidence.
Wear clothes you can move in easily - most wear T-shirts and leggings. For inspiration, you can read our guide on what to wear to a Burlesque dance class, but the main thing is to feel relaxed and ready to move.

If you enjoy the class, you can enrol in our Beginners Burlesque Dance Course. Over several weeks, you’ll develop your dance skills, explore different burlesque styles, and create fully choreographed routines in a safe and supportive space.
