Build a solid foundation in the core skills of Improv on our Improvisation Classes - Level 1.
Suitable for absolute beginners, this course will get your mind moving and energised through a series of games and exercises. You will build a creative, supportive and playful improv team with your classmates and learn how to make each other look amazing. Start learning and practising the techniques needed to be a spontaneous and confident improviser. With a focus on short-form scene work, this course will give you the chance to discover more of your own creativity, imagination and build on your storytelling skills.
Whether you want to improve your presentation/public speaking skills, add a tool to your performer’s toolbelt, combat anxiety and feel more confident day to day, or just have fun and laugh with new people - Improvisation will give you the boost you need.
Improvisation Classes - Level 1 Content
Learn the building blocks of improvisation and form a confident improv team.
- Learn the fundamental tools of improv in a fun and relaxed environment.
- Develop your communication skills through active listening and spontaneous play.
- Grow awareness of your physicality, giving you more confidence in yourself both on and offstage.
- Nurture your sense of play, and quieten your inner critic.
- Learn how to play classic shortform improv games.
- Discover your own creative ability and voice.

Based in a Central London drama studio
What to bring
Comfortable clothes (there may be some light movement so whatever you feel comfortable to move around in). Water. Note pad and pen if you like - however the sessions will be very active and you may not have time to make notes until afterwards.
