This is a high-energy, expressive dance style that sits at the heart of musical theatre and fuses traditional jazz techniques - such as isolations, grounded movement, and syncopated rhythms - with elements of ballet, contemporary, and popular music.
Jazz Dance - not to be confused with Jazz Music - is a "full-out with feeling" class that will have you dancing like you're on the West End stage! It is the primary dance style you see on stage, with many musicals featuring modern, high-energy jazz choreography. It has varying subgenres which have been brought to the world stage by the likes of Fred Astaire, Fame and Dance Moms.

What to Expect in a Class
Each session follows a structured format to help you progress consistently:
Warm-Up, Prepare & Strengthen - A focused warm-up to improve flexibility, mobility and strength while reducing risk of injury.
Technique, Control & Precision - Exercises focusing on isolations, footwork, coordination and core technique.
Across the Floor, Travel & Dynamics - Practise travelling sequences including kicks, turns and jumps to build confidence, technique and flexivbility.
Choreography, Performance & Style - Learn high-energy routines inspired by Musical Theatre and other dance styles, developing both technique and expression.
