Capture your creations, from perfect plates of food to succulent fruit. On our Food Photography courses, you will learn how to create beautiful images and equip yourself with the skills needed to enter the commercial food photography market. This course will give you all the tools to tackle the challenges when photographing food for a variety of uses.
This practical photography class will develop your photography and lighting skills, enabling you to capture a wide range of products in various environments. We will talk you through how to use lighting, light modifiers, backgrounds, props and composition to create dynamic images for personal or commercial use.
A basic technical understanding of your camera and it's settings is required.
FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES CONTENT
During this two day workshop you will be given the opportunity to learn a range of techniques used in food photography by professionals in the industry:
- Camera techniques and settings for food photography
- Natural light and flash lighting techniques
- Styling scenes using backgrounds and props
- Best practises with composition and lens choice
- Working with the characteristics of different products and surfaces
This is a practical, studio based course with hands-on experience.
Level
A basic technical understanding of your camera and its settings is required.
Styles
You will trial various techniques and looks in a studio environment.
Equipment
It is recommended you bring your own DSLR or Camera with full manual controls. If you don't have a camera you can borrow one from us. Lighting equipment, props and backgrounds will be provided.
YOU WILL NEED
We recommend you bring the following equipment with you to the course:
- DSLR or mirrorless camera with full manual controls
- Your camera’s manual
- Fully charged battery
- An empty memory card
- Comfortable shoes
- External flash (for some classes, if owned)

To make membership fees more manageable, these breaks are accounted for within your monthly instalments across the year. This means there are no breaks in your monthly payments.
