With weekly evening rehearsals and regular performances throughout the year, the company offers a unique opportunity to take your ballroom dancing beyond the classroom and into the world of performance.
You’ll train in a collaborative company environment, working with experienced choreographers to develop polished routines, strengthen musicality and build a confident stage presence.

What You Will Learn
Through weekly rehearsals, you will:
- Refine Ballroom technique and styling
- Improve posture, frame and body coordination
- Strengthen musicality, timing and rhythm interpretation
- Learn advanced choreography across multiple Ballroom styles
- Develop performance presence and stage confidence
- Work collaboratively within a dance company environment
Each rehearsal focuses on both technical improvement and performance preparation, helping you develop as a well-rounded dancer.

Instead of a formal audition, you can attend a rehearsal session to experience the company and demonstrate your level.
You should have completed the Intermediate Ballroom course at City Academy or have equivalent experience.
The company rehearses weekly in the evening.
Yes. Members have opportunities to perform at various events throughout the year.
Following the session, you will receive an email inviting you to join the company or suggesting further training.
Yes. Once you join the company for a performance cycle, attendance is expected to ensure choreography is staged correctly.
