On our 4 week Singing Intensive Courses, you will take a deep dive into your journey as a Singer, exploring in-depth, practical studies of singing technique. Build your repertoire across multiple genres while you find your individual vocal sound and confidence as a performer.
Over the course of four consecutive weeks, Monday - Friday, you'll learn a broad range of genres and approaches to technique, for instance the Estil Method. As well as these foundational topics that you will develop over this singing course, you will learn multiple specialist skills including microphone technique, acting through song and songwriting from your core teaching team and other industry specialists.
There will also be a Q&A with various industry professionals including performers and agents who will be able to provide valuable advice. As the course progresses, you will choose a solo, that you will work with your tutor on, receiving in-depth personalised feedback.
In the 4th and final week of the course, all of the material that has been learnt during the intensive, including the solos, will be revisited and rehearsed for a very exciting final performance with live musicians in front of a live audience.
What you will cover on this course
Our Singing intensive course has been designed to give you an in-depth exploration of all styles and approaches to singing.
In a group session you will learn:
- Technique: Establishing and developing your vocal range, learning proper use of breath, learning the basics of vocal pedagogy; beginning the understand the science and art of singing, looking at various techniques including the Estill Method.
- Repertoire: Exploring a broad range of musical styles and looking at approaches that are specific to each genre.
- Ensemble singing: Working together as a group, singing in harmony, blending vocals and looking at the skill of backing vocals and lead vocals.
- Vocal health: Using proper form, breath work and technique to sing in a way that will not damage the vocal chords.
- Solo: Finding your own individual style as a singer and working on your performance confidence as a soloist.
