Barre Fitness Workout Classes
Our Barre Fitness Workout classes develop core strength by combining toning exercises, Pilates, and ballet barre work. This dance-based conditioning fitness class focuses on sculpting your body, improving stamina and flexibility.
These Barre Workouts mix relaxing stretching exercises with cardio interval blasts to get your heart rate going. Under the guidance of our instructor, you will work on sculpting your whole body from head to toe.
Overview
Unique, precise and focused, City Academy’s Barre Fitness Workout classes blend techniques from a variety of different dance forms including ballet, yoga, modern dance and jazz, forming a low impact, low risk alternative to conventional dance classes.
Utilising isometric strength training and classical bar exercises, this course boils down cross fitness, classical and modern dance to their key elements, then applies them in an informal, vibrant and constructive environment, under the guidance of a professional dance tutor. Strengthen your core, tone up and improve coordination without a unitard in sight. Suitable for complete beginners and barre veterans alike.

Equipment
Please wear form-fitting clothing (i.e. leggings) so you can see movement of body, as well as ballet shoes or socks.
