Open to beginners and more experienced writers alike, this immersive five-day course blends practical workshops, guided writing time, and professional feedback to help you move from inspiration to execution.
Across the week, you’ll explore multiple writing forms - including playwriting, screenwriting, writing for children, prose and poetry - led by industry professionals who understand both the creative and commercial sides of writing.
By the end of the course, you won’t just have ideas - you’ll have developed work, sharper skills, and a clearer understanding of your unique voice as a writer.
What You Will Learn
Over five intensive days, you will:

- Build believable characters and authentic dialogue

You’ll also receive individual tutor feedback and have the opportunity to share your work in a supportive group environment.
Day One
Story & Structure - Explore narrative foundations and the building blocks of compelling storytelling. Includes guided writing time.
Day Two
Description & Imagery - Learn how to use detail, metaphor and sensory language to deepen your writing.
Day Three
Perspective & Tense - Experiment with narrative viewpoint and refine your technical control. Includes a one-to-one tutorial.
Day Four
Critical Thinking & Editing - Develop your analytical eye and learn how to strengthen your work through thoughtful revision.
Day Five
Sharing & Industry Insight - Share selected pieces in a supportive setting and gain insight into the writing industry and next steps.
