Nude Art Photography Courses

With our one day Nude Art Photography courses, you will learn the techniques needed to create stunning nude portraits suitable for editorial, commercial or personal use. Our experienced tutors will teach you how to capture the mood and style needed for successful nude art photography in a hands-on environment.

Our photography classes are limited to small groups so there is lots of time for individual attention and feedback. You’ll learn on set with a professional model for a practical experience.

NUDE ART PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES - CONTENT

During this photography class, you will learn:

  • An introduction to nude art photography
  • Light – explore the role of light in this type of photography and learn the different styles (hard lighting, soft lighting, low key, high key)
  • Lighting equipment – discover the different studio lighting equipment you can use
  • Technical aspects – improve your images by exploring your camera settings in depth, including the light meter and metering modes
  • Lenses – what type of lenses are best for nude photography? We’ll discuss focal length and lenses classification
  • Props – learn how to use a range of props for nude photography
  • Working with a model – develop the skills needed such as composition, posing, directing
  • Studio set up – you’ll be taught how to set up the studio for a nude photography shoot including backdrops, props and lighting for your mood or style.

PLEASE NOTE: Good knowledge of your camera's manual settings are strongly advised.

Level

A good understanding of basic exposure and confidence in your camera’s manual settings is strongly advised.

Courses limited to 8 students

Equipment

This course requires a digital DSLR or mirrorless camera with full manual controls. If you do not have access to either of these, we can provide you with a DSLR camera. We will also provide all other necessary props and accessories.

YOU WILL NEED

We recommend you bring the following equipment with you to the course:

  • DSLR or mirrorless camera with full manual controls
  • Your camera’s manual
  • Fully charged battery
  • An empty memory card
  • Comfortable shoes
  • External flash (for some classes, if owned)

This course requires a digital DSLR or mirrorless camera with full manual controls. If you do not have access to either of these, we can provide you with a DSLR camera. We will also provide all other necessary props and accessories. 

You’ll also need a basic knowledge of aperture, camera lenses, shutter speed and ISO including exposure modes. If you’re a photography novice, then you may find it helpful to sign up to one of our Beginner Courses first.
