Our Stand Up Comedy Courses - Improvers with Public Gig are for those who have completed Stand Up Comedy – Beginners with Showcase, or have a few gigs under their belt and are ready to take their work to the next level.

Gain further skills, developing clever and interesting material, confident skilful performance and using on-stage improvisation to add an exciting edge to your work.

In consolidating your current stand up skills, this course is designed to enable you to focus on the aspects needed to develop your act.

Skills worked on will include generating topical and improvised comedy, MCing, and building longer sets. Students will be taught how to get more out of existing material by improving the joke rate and adding physical and performance elements. The comedy course is flexible to allow participants to highlight areas they would like to develop, including musical, character comedy and advice on the realities of the industry.
