This Piano Taster Lesson is a relaxed, beginner-friendly introduction to playing the piano at City Academy. It’s designed to give you a feel for the class environment. You'll get a chance to meet the tutor and try some simple exercises that form the foundation of our full Piano courses.
In this one-off session, you’ll explore a few basic elements of piano playing, including a short introduction to the keyboard, finger placement and trying a couple of simple chords. Tasters are designed to give you a taste of the subject and an idea of what to expect from the full course.

What you will learn
In your Piano Taster Lesson, you will:
- Be introduced to the keyboard and the fundamentals of music making.
- Play simple chords and a short piano piece.
- Learn the very basics of reading music.
- Experience playing piano in a relaxed, group setting with headphones.
