Our Salsa Classes - Improvers 1 helps to increase dance confidence while learning new moves. On this course, you’ll learn a range of techniques while having the chance to inject your own personality and natural creativity into your movement combinations.
Salsa - Improvers is split into two levels; you need to complete Salsa - Improvers 1 before you can shimmy your way to Salsa - Improvers 2. This ensures everyone progresses properly – and gives you the opportunity to build total confidence in your moves.
Salsa Improvers 1 Classes Content
Completion of our Beginners Salsa Class or equivalent experience of Salsa is a minimum requirement for Improvers 1. You’ll recap all the salsa essentials while developing your technical skills and confidence with a partner:
- Review of the basic steps, moves, rhythm & Musicality
- Understand the fundamentals of salsa leading & following
- Growing the vocabulary of the shines & footworks through warm up
- Learn partner work combinations: Cross body turn, checks in Cross body lead, Titanic, Caresse, Flicks, Open break
- Become familiar with the Salsa dance community and attend more Salsa nights out
As with all of our salsa classes, you'll receive friendly feedback throughout, and you don’t need to bring a partner to join the course.
