Train as a Screen Actor. Your Springboard into the Industry.

Screen Acting Foundation - 3 Months

Build the Skills to Perform Truthfully on Screen

Over three months, you will develop the technical and creative foundations needed to work confidently in front of the camera.

Through practical scene work, filmed exercises and specialist classes, you will learn how to analyse scripts, make clear character choices, adapt your performance for different shot types and respond to direction.

As the course progresses, you will move from core acting technique into auditions, self-taping and professional screen projects, applying what you have learned in increasingly industry-focused situations.

Springboard your Career

Screen Acting requires imagination, precision, adaptability and an understanding of how the smallest choices can read on camera.

This three-month, in-person programme gives you the space to develop your skills through intensive practical training. You will explore text, character, voice, movement and camera technique while learning how to create performances that feel detailed, grounded and believable.

Your Three-Month Screen Acting Journey

The programme is built to bridge training and real-world opportunities through audition practice, mentor sessions, portfolio guidance and industry-standard set experience.
Month 1 - Build Your Acting Foundation

Establish the core skills that support truthful screen performance. Develop your approach to text, character and emotional connection while strengthening the voice and body as acting tools. You will begin exploring practitioner-led techniques and learn how to apply them practically rather than treating them as theory. You'll work on script and text analysis, character development, Meisner and other practitioner-based approaches, vocal technique, movement and physical awareness, improvisation and scene work.

Month 2 - Develop Your Screen Technique

Hone your on-screen acting skills. Explore shot sizes, eyelines, stillness, continuity and the technical demands of filming. Alongside scene work, you will develop audition and self-taping skills and learn how to respond confidently to direction. You'll work on acting for close-up, camera framing and shot sizes, relaxed stillness, scene study, self-taping, audition technique, taking direction, and working across multiple takes

Month 3 - Prepare for the Industry and Shoot

Bring your training together through professional screen projects. You will prepare material with your tutors, work with industry specialists and experience a professional filming process. The final stage of the course includes your showreel shoot and original short-film project, giving you professionally produced material to support your next steps. You'll work on showreel preparation, casting and scene selection, professional filming, working with a crew, on-location shooting, industry coaching, agent and casting insights and a final short-film production.

How to Apply

Submit your audition today!

Applying is straightforward. We are interested in your performance and potential — not the quality of your camera equipment.

Step 1 - Record Your Self-Tape

Film a performance of no more than two minutes. Start by stating your full name, followed by either:

  • a short monologue; or
  • a scene performed with someone reading off camera.

You may choose material from a play, film or television script, or perform something you have written yourself.

Step 2 - Keep It Simple

A smartphone is absolutely fine. You do not need:

  • professional filming equipment;
  • costumes;
  • a set;
  • professional lighting;
  • editing.

We want to see how you approach the performance.

Step 3 - Upload Your Application

Complete the application form and upload your video.

Step 4 - Receive Personal Feedback

Every applicant receives written feedback from an industry professional.

Prefer to Apply in Person?

You can also arrange an in-person application. Bring a short monologue and perform it for a member of our acting team.
