Put your acting skills into practice by joining the Assemble Theatre Company. Work with a professional theatre director as you take part in weekly rehearsals leading up to a live theatre performance for a supportive audience of your friends, family and industry contacts.
The Assemble Theatre Company is a performance led theatre training company. Work as a cast to explore the craft of acting and deliver truthful performances that move an audience. Explore character development, in depth scene study, blocking and composition workshops and performance technique.
The ethos of the Assemble Theatre Company is to create a passionate, daring and creative ensemble that delivers a live theatre performance to remember.
Our theatre companies aim to be some of the most exciting part-time theatre groups in London. Giving you the chance to participate in exciting contemporary theatre productions that fit around your working life.
Assemble Theatre Company performace dates: Sunday 7th July 2024 and Sunday 8th December 2024.
How Does it Work?
The Assemble Company delivers various Theatre Productions each year. Join the company for one or more shows. Each itieration of the company involves:
- Weekly rehearsals with your director
- Working towards a performance to a live audience of friends and family
All City Academy ticket prices are subsidized. 100% of ticket sale proceeds from your audience are put towards production costs including performance venue hire and staff on the day.

MEET THE DIRECTOR
Chloe Kennedy is an experienced teacher and performer who received her MFA in Actor Training and Coaching from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Not only does she regularly perform in The Glass Imaginary:An Improvised Tennessee Williams Play, Chloe has directed performances at Omnibus Theatre, The Bunker, The Pleasance, The Glory, Camden People’s Theatre and The Vagina Museum.

Assemble Theatre Company - Who Can Join?
Everyone is welcome to join the company. All we require is that you have some previous acting experience - either a City Academy Beginners course or the equivalent classes elsewhere.

- Debut Theatre Company - no acting experience required
- Foreword Theatre Company - some acting experience required
- Actors Company - by audition only

Artistic Policy
We ensure that every company member has a suitable feature in the final show. The production could be presented in the form of physical theatre, linked scenes, new writing pieces or abridged plays. The Theatre Productions consist of group work and ensemble collaboration which comes together to create an engaging and entertaining show.
