Our How to Paint Classes - Beginners are a great way to spend some relaxing time away from your busy work schedule and channel your creative energy. This course is perfect if you've always wanted to paint but haven't known where to start. It is also a great course for students who have completed our How to Draw Beginners course and want to try a new artistic medium. Starting with basic colour theory and mixing colours, you will learn how to create a painting from initial drawing to completion, working with a variety of different tools including brushes and palette knives. You will also learn how to set up your palette, brushes and palette knives, allowing you to work towards the results you desire. Mainly working with water soluble acrylic paints to capture still life objects, our experienced tutors will encourage and help build your confidence as a painter and artist, as well as giving you the freedom to discover your unique style. Not at all! This course is suitable for both complete beginners and those with some experience in different artistic mediums. What should I wear? Any art class can get a bit messy, so we recommend wearing easily washable clothes. Do I need to bring along any materials? We supply all materials for classes, so all you need to bring is yourself and a readiness to learn. What will we be painting? You will primarily be working with still-life objects to begin with.
