Useful information

Our writing workshops are suitable for Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 5 students. Each session is adapted to suit your group’s age, ability, and curriculum focus — from imaginative storytelling to creative writing skills for exams.

No prior experience is required. Workshops are designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for all — from enthusiastic young writers to those just beginning to explore creative expression.

Students can explore a range of styles including fiction, short stories, poetry, scriptwriting, and memoir. Content can be tailored to your group’s interests or curriculum themes.

Sessions can take place at our Central London studios or at your school or chosen venue. All materials and resources are provided.

All sessions are led by experienced, DBS-checked professional writers and tutors with backgrounds in literature, publishing, and creative education.

Workshops can run from 90 minutes to a full day, depending on your timetable and objectives. Longer sessions allow for extended writing and feedback time.

Yes. Workshops can support English, Creative Writing, and PSHE objectives — encouraging literacy, imagination, and reflective thinking through writing.

We can accommodate up to 35 students per session. Larger groups can be split into smaller sessions to ensure individual attention and participation.

City Academy follows robust safeguarding procedures, and all tutors hold enhanced DBS checks. Risk assessments and insurance documentation are available upon request.
