Four Weeks of Intensive Screen Training

Develop Your Screen Craft. Put It Into Practice.

The course culminates in a professionally filmed short film project, giving you valuable on-set experience and finished screen material to support your next steps.

Designed for New and Developing Screen Actors

The Screen Acting Intensive is ideal for adults who want to develop practical acting-for-camera skills through concentrated, full-time training.

You do not need professional screen credits, but you should be ready to work collaboratively, learn lines outside class and commit fully to four weeks of practical training.

The course may suit:

  • stage actors wanting to develop their screen technique;
  • emerging actors preparing for auditions;
  • performers considering further screen acting training;

From Camera Foundations to Final Shoot

Over four weeks, your training develops from core screen technique into increasingly practical scene, audition and production work. Each stage builds on the last, giving you time to apply feedback, develop stronger habits and become more confident working in front of the camera.

Week 1 - Build Your Screen Foundations

Begin by understanding how acting changes when performance is captured on camera. You will work on stillness, listening, framing, eyelines, voice and movement while exploring the foundations of believable character work.

Week 2 - Develop Character and Scene Work

Move into more detailed script analysis and practical scene study. You will explore objectives, subtext, relationships and emotional truth while learning how to adjust your performance for different shot sizes and directorial choices.

Week 3 - Prepare for Auditions and Professional Work

Develop your self-taping and audition technique while gaining insight into how casting professionals and agents assess actors. You will also begin preparing material for the final film project and build greater confidence responding quickly to direction.

Week 4 - Rehearse, Shoot and Perform

Bring your training together through the final short film project. Rehearse your scenes, work with a professional director and crew, and experience the practical demands of filming on location before your finished project is professionally edited and delivered after the course.
