Hamza Jeetooa is an actor, director, and lecturer, and currently serves as Head of Screen Acting at the London College of Music (University of West London). He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where he earned an MA in Acting for Screen.
As an actor, Hamza has appeared in leading and supporting roles across major platforms, including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, ABC, and Netflix. His screen credits include Doctor Who, Luther, and Capital. On stage, he has performed in leading roles at theatres such as the Royal Court, the Arcola, and the Young Vic.
He has also co-written and directed a number of short films, with work commissioned by Arts Council England, selected for BAFTA-qualifying festivals, and distributed internationally.
In addition to his academic role, Hamza has taught and directed at institutions including ArtsEd, Drama Studio London, MetFilm School, and Royal Central.
He is a voting member of BAFTA and has written on diversity and inclusion in the screen industry for Broadcast and Radio Times.
